Rubert Sloan or Robert Sloan ?
Rubert Sloan or Robert Sloan ?
In the last few days I have received from two different sources results of the 1880 census. One says that Creighton and Elizabeth Sloan of Philadelphia had a son age 3 named Rubert Sloan. The other says that his name was Robert Sloan.
Which is correct?

This Rubert or Robert Sloan would be my great-uncle, so I would like to know what happened to him. My grandfather was his brother, Howard Sloan.

>According to information I have just received today, the parents of my
grandfather were Creighton Sloan (born 1843) and Elizabeth Lee (born
1841
died in Chicago after 1900) and they had six children. They were:
>
>Samuel J. Sloan (1871-1899)
>Howard Creighton Sloan (1873-1940)
>Clara Sloan (born 1875)
>Robert Sloan (born 1877)
>Anna Daisy Sloan (born Philadelphia 1880)
>Albert Sloan (born after 1880)
This may indicate that I have a lot of Sloan second cousins that I do
not know about.
Can anybody provide and information or ideas on this?
