Oh my gosh, Samuel James Slinker, b. 5 Sept 1838, is my mother-in-laws great grandfather. I'm having trouble getting back in this family, but I've got quite a bit recorded in my FTM program on down to us & then I have some info from way on back. It's the middle part that has me a bit confused & I'm not real sure the way on back part is correct. I'd love to hear from you & compare our info. I just called her (my husband's mother) & she didn't recognize your name. You two would be 2nd cousins, she is excited to hear about this also. Her father was Oscar Leonard Slinker married to Rhenda May Johnson, they lived in Columbus, Indiana. I sure hope you are still interested in this. I'm really looking forward to hearing from you!!!! I didn't have that John Slinker & Mary "Polly" Grimes were his parents or that he had a twin sister. And, I don't see them in the other info I have either - I'll look it over again this evening to be sure!!!! Glad you posted & hope to hear from you soon. Roxanne Romine
