Dear Jan, its a long time since you posted your message about William Slinger and Nancy Wrathall and I don't know if this information is still of interest to you.. They lived at Ellerbeck near Chapel le dale nr Ingleton, Yorkshire,where they farmed 80 acres. there was an extensive Slinger family who lived in that area.William was my great great grandfather.He had 4 sons that i know of John, Thomas, William and James, but the history gets very confused with his brothers who lived nearby.
