Tempest born 21st February 1821, christined 11th March 1821 Slaidburn Yorkshire (now Lancashire), parents Henry born 1783, Margaret born 1786. Henry was a plaisterer. Tempest's siblings: John ch 20.4.1817, Peggy ch 23.2.1823, Ann ch 29.0.1825, Ellen ch 27.5.1828.
There is also another Tempest Slinger who married Ann Wilkinson on 17.9.1805 in Slaidburn. They lived at Woodhouse Lane and he was a farmer. Children George ch 24.5.1818, John ch 24.12.1820, Ann ch 3.3. 1814, Ann ch 18.9.1808 (died), Nicholas ch 1.12.1816.
My husband's grandparents were Mary Slinger Hepple and William Slinger Wood. (Mary's mother's first husband was Ambrose Slinger). William Slinger Wood's grandmother was Henry Slinger and Henry and Ambrose were brothers - their father William Slinger. If any one has any info about his wife, other children, parents etc I should be grateful.
