My father's branch of the Slevins were all based in Longford but this branch had originated from Fermanagh many generations before. From what he has told me, Slevins moved south to Longford and Westmeath etc around the 1700's.
Some Slevins emigrated to the States and England and I am trying to find out what happened to them.
Myself and my wife and daughter now live in Australia and I am keen also to find out about the Slevins out here. I have checked all the convict lists of the ships that came out here and haven't found any Slevins, so any Slevins would have been free settlers / immigrants.
