Hi,

My maiden name was Slevin. Alot of irish names had the prefix 'O'. This is a hang over from irish speaking times. The name O'Slevin would be an older version of Slevin. My Slevin's come from Tipperary. The name seems to have originated in Co Fermanagh or Co Tyrone. If anyone knows of Slevin's from up north heading down the country in or before the 1700s I would love to hear from you.
