Andrew,

I have a letter from your Charles to my grandfather Charles dated 6/13/1904 which states in part that the 1st Thomas Sleeper's wife was Elizabeth Joanna Sherburne. This is part of the reason I've always believed that Thomas was married to a Sherburne despite many who claim it's not true. There is at least anecdotal evidence. I have also seen this same info. on other genealogy (personal) websites.

This letter also states "Thos Sleeper of England was of Hampton, NH 1640
