Thanks for replying to my posting. I looks like it's possible that Thomas Sleeper, of Hampton, could have been a child of Nicholas, John, or Richard Sleeper of Goodleigh (looking at the IGI index). I haven't found any other area that seems more ideal. I know it's relatively close to Bristol, where Thomas sailed from, and it's an area full of Sleeper families. I wish we had more proof positive. I haven't found a Moses, Naomi, Aaron, Ruth or Luther (children of Thomas of Hampton) in any of my searches for Goodleigh. I would think that Thomas would have named some of his children after his parents or siblings. I had also heard that Thomas was a child of Thomas Sleepe and Jone Lee of London, and that his father died in Hampton but I think this must have been a guess. Do you know what professions any of the Goodleigh Sleepers had? Any insight you could provide would be great.
