Samuel T. Sleeper of New Jersey

Captain Samuel T. Sleeper of Company I of the 11th NJ Infantry was killed in action at Spotsylvania Court House, Va. He was buried on the field, but his name does not appear in the Roll of Honor as being buried in any of the National cemeteries. He is either still buried in an unmarked grave in VA or as I suspect his body was brought back to NJ for burial, but where? His wife (who didn't re-marry) is buried in Shrewsbury, NJ and the Church records do not mention Captain Sleeper. Can anyone shed any additional light upon this subject?
