Thomas Sleeper of Goodleigh, Devonshire

I have a mention on my family record that Thomas Sleeper of Hampton, NH was born in Devonshire and sailed from Bristol, England in 1646. My family record states that he may have been granted land in Hampton before he came. I have found another record that states that a Thomas Sleeper was christened at Goodleigh, Devonshire on Jan. 27, 1571. His father was Richard Sleeper and his mother was Agnes Headdon. Could this Thomas be Thomas Sleeper's father? If anyone has any information to share on the English Sleepers please let me know. Thank you.
