I am trying to find the parents of Elihue Sledge. He married Catharine Wall on 4 May 1848 in Williamson County, TN. They lived in Conway County, AR when the 1860 census was taken. Children listed on the census were, Mary C., Martha J., Andrew J., Rachel T. and William H. By 1870 they were living in Obion County, TN and children listed were Mary, Martha, Andrew, Tennessee(Rachel), William, Tom, Sarah, Susan and James. They were on the 1880 Fulton County, KY census living in Hickman Twp., and children listed were Tennessee, Elizabeth, Ida and Andrew. I have been unable to find the 1850 Williamson County, TN census on line and I am unable to find any connection to other Sledge families. This Sledge family may tie into our family from Conway County, AR but I am unable to find solid proof. I would appreciate any help. Our direct line is Thomas Sledge born ca 1815 in Williamson County, TN and he married Louiza. They are the parents of my Great-great grandmother, Martha Ellen Sledge. Martha married William Marion Davidson 23 April 1876 in Conway County, AR. Thanks in advance for any help anyone might be able to give me.
