Since I posted I have borrowed the Bible from a cousin and am just now beginning to go through all the information. It appears that the Bible was that of William and Sarah Shelton. In addition to the marriage record of William and Sarah there are also death records: Henry Sledge died Sep 26, 1845 and Elizabeth Sledge died Jan 1 1856. No place of death is recorded. It also recorded Sarah Shelton information as follows:
Sarah Sledge Shelton, b. 16 Feb 1826, d. 20 Dec 1882.
William and Sarah Shelton's first daughter Joyce Alabama Shelton was my Great Grandmother.
