I have Lydia Sophia as the daughter of John H. Heustis and Almira, the former born abt 1814, the latter 1815, and found in the US Census in Auburn, 1860 through 1880. Apparently he worked building railroad cars. It appears that he had a brother Benjamin who married Rosanna Sincerbeaux, and lived in Cayuga County 1840 through 1880, and another brother who married another Rosanna or Rosamond, and died before 1840?
I have searched for years for proof of the father of these, without luck. Perhaps someone here can shed more light on the subject?
