Hi there,

I realise you posted this a long time ago but I have been looking into the men on the Carshalton war memorial and also couldn't find any info on George Slaymaker.

However in the local paper there is a list of the men on the memorial and it confirms that he was a Seaman in the RNR (I presume Royal Naval Reserve). Hope that helps! Did you get any further?
