Susan,
The information I have on your line is:

Sally SLUDER, (dau of Isaac SLUDER [1809-1875] and Mrs. ___HOWARD or HUFF), was b.9 Aug 1867, probably in Hamilton or Boone Co IN. (Sally had half-siblings who were SLUDER and presumably half-siblings from her mother's first marriage.)

Your great-grandmother Sally is the half-sibling of a John SLUDER who m.1854 to Elmira ROBEY, which is how I connect. Your SLUDER line, from Rowan Co NC, originally spelled their name something like "SCHLEUTER."

The list of children for Sally and James E. SLAYBAUGH are:
1. Joseph
2. Mary married ___TROYER
3. Carrie married a ?Charles ?GALLOWAY
4. John Sluder married Lillian FRY
5. Bernice
6. Charles

Because of second marriages and second families, there may be some skewing of this data. I am currently finding the SLAYBAUGH, SLAYBOUGH, SLABAUGH name also spelled SLABACK.

Beth Robey
