Slavens Family Genealogy Forum

This is almost a year after your October, 2002, posting, but my g-grandmother was Ruth Slavens Peters. Ruth was a sister of Charles Slavens. Two, perhaps, three of Charles'siblings, married into the Peters family. My father was Albert Lincoln Peters. For years I wondered about the origin of that name. As it turned out, my grandfather, William Rosecrans Peters, was a first cousin of Albert Lincoln Slavens, Obviously, they were very close. So close that William named his second and last son after him. What eventually happened to Albert Lincoln Slavens? Are there any more Albert Lincoln's out there? Am I the only one carrying on that name? Contact was lost as the Slavens' moved to Missouri. The Peters' stayed in Pike county. Looking fprward to your response. Thanks...Al
