Does anyone know who the parents of Mariah Slaven were? She was born in Virginia about 1800, moved to Ohio, maybe with Reuben or Henry Slaven. Rumor she moved with an uncle. Her husband was Isaiah Jacox/Jaycox and any other number of spellings. He was also born in Virginia. The Jaycox family is probably from around Bath, Pendleton, Greenbrier, etc., area. They were in Scioto valley area, Jackson County, Ohio when they died, she died about 1874.
