Cutlips and Slavens in Pike County, Ohio

My g-g-g-grandmother was Jennie Cutlip, born in Pike County Ohio, in 1871. She had 3 children, Earl Slavens, Annie Slavens, and William Cutlip, who kept his mother's name. However, she and William Slavens, maybe Charles William Slavens, never married, so I cannot trace my line any farther back. I need some concrete info on this Slavens that she never married. Please help!!!
