John Wesley & Wm. Fletcher Slavens

Does anybody have info on the Confederate Military service of these two brothers, sons of Thomas Slavens of Lincoln County, Missouri? John Wesley supposedly was a Methodist Chaplin in the 2nd Missouri Infantry. Family legend claims that William Fletcher joined with his brother but died of pneumonia in a Union prison camp in Dec. of 1861. I have no proof and have not yet been able to find any. Anybody who knows anything about these two fellows and can help, I'll really appreciate it.
