Clinton Slayton has brought to my attention that I have not given credit to him and others for the researched combined in regard to William and Abraham Slatton descendants of Tidewater Virginia. I have done so in the first edition and the volume uploaded does not contain any sources or credits due to the volume of space which was too much for uploading to this site so wanted to get the important items to you and excluded them due to space. Clinton Slayton is the one who conjectured the idea originally that William and Abraham Slatton were parents of John, George, and Major Slatton as well as many others. George Slayton, myself and others had used this as are outline and format in putting together the families. So credit goes to Clinton in this conjecture as well as many other conjectures regarding William and Abraham Slatton. So if there are any questions regarding this conjecture refer this to Clinton Slayton cslayton@bellsouth.net I just wanted to get this out to you all so you have the families to work from to tie yourself together. My soul work has been on the descendants of Arthur and Rachel Slayden of which I have obtained over 5,000 names of which I have worked on over 15 year period of time. Please give credit to George Slayton of Atlanta, GA; Clinton Slayton of Homewood, Alabama; Alton Greene who is now dead of Tennessee; Richard Slatten who is dead of Hanover, Virginia; Edgar McDonald of Richmond, Virginia; John Slatten of Colorado; Homer Slaton of Alabama; Joe Slaten of California; and many others for the book of The descendants of William and Abraham Slatton of Tidewater Virginia and many others.

Shirley Slayden, myself, Lenell Slaten, and Arthur Jackson Slaton are the large contributors to the book of Arthur and Rachel Slayden of Tidewater Virginia.

For the book on the Northern lines: Dolores Slayton of Mount Airy, Maryland and Asa Walker Slayton--for the book The descendants of Thomas Slaton of Massachusetts
