1. There's only one couple in the online index with these names - however, the index is very comprehensive for French Canadian families but not as much for the others.
2. Most of my families from Northern Quebec in my family tree were broken up with older sons sometimes staying in an area while families move on to other location with younger children. So I wouldn't completely rule it out.
3. What I would do is go to the appropriate Rootsweb regional board for the location of the marriage I cited and state that you think this might be your ancestors and does anyone else have these in their family tree. Hopefully you will find other Irish researchers for that area. They may have another way of helping you (for instance, through access to Ireland-Quebec immigration indexes). This is a specialized area so you need to make a new "genealogical friend" !
Finally, I have found that a consistent ruling out of other families is never a waste of time in building a database - and as you continue to search you'll be able to let people know that these are not your family ;0
