Wow, I was shocked to see so many on this board! Didn't know there were this many Slate's in the world! Anyway, I am new at this and am looking for any information - line - on a Luther Slate (my grandfather) who married Claudia (Gravett sp?) They lived in Stokes County, NC (King Area) My father, their son was Clyde Royster Slate, born 1922. He had several brothers/sisters - Bobby, John, Royce, Monida, and Louise. Any info or assistance appreciated much! I am trying to establish a family tree and determin where the Slate family came from?
