PA>NC>VA by Richard Cross of 742 I have recently found out that John Slagle was born about 1799 in Pa. The source (1858 HALIFAX County, VA DEATH RECORDS)reads that he died at the age of 59 in 1858. His parents are named as John and Christiana Slagle. This information was submitted by his son, John Slagle. Josiah (Jo) Slagle had moved to Texas. John and William both married women named Ann. The family trade seems to be in the line of leather as John and his sons; John, Josiah, and George were all shoemakers and tanners. Notify Administrator about this message?
