The descendants of Samuel, Simon, William and Harris Slade will hold a reunion June 6 & 7, 2008 in Meansville, Georgia.
This branch of the family began in Southampton County, Virginia, about 1800 they migrated to Georgia and by 1830 were in Jones, Washington, Pike, and Talbot Counties, Georgia. Descendants are known to currently live in AL, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MS, NC, NM, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX.
At the 2006 reunion, there were more than 100 attendees and more are expected in 2008.
