do you have the birth cert for your John Slade or is it a guestimate? I have a John Slade. Johnpossibly JohnAdolphus who lived at 16 prospect place finchley, believed to be the son of Charles Slade who died aged 50 in 1842 at Smithfield market. buried at Hornsey by his own desire. Charles had 7 children to my knowledge. Charles his father was believed to be born in 1792 believed christened at
St Michaels Highgate where his dad, George sladeborn ?1757 and Elizabeth had the pub the Rose and Crown Tavern Highgate.
I have a birth certificate for William Slade born ?27th February 1846,11 CHARLES sQUAREST gEORGES IN THE EAST , ST JOHN, reg 16th March 1846, mother was eliza Slade formerly Brown. Informant mother who marked the paper.
I haveHenry John who married Mary Ann on the 1851 census at 2a frog lane Islington before they went t o 3 Rose St plumetead where they had the Rose INN for years. John their son, (she had a child from a former relationship,) was born 1853 Islington, but he took over the pub when his father died 1892 so my diary says, last entries 1894. recognise anything?
