I am looking for info on my mom's father -- MATTHEW P. SLADE, born May of 1879 -- son of William Slade -- mother not known. Matthew appears at a one year old in the FL 1880 census with name as Matie P. Slade. He married Blondina BRONSON of Kissimmee, FL on 19 April 1906 in Kissimmee, FL. They had 2 children -- Henry Iral Slade born in 1907 and Georgia Naomi Slade born in 1909. (Georgia is listed as George on 1910 census--oops!) This is the only verified info I have. Have heard family stories that Matthew died of either polio or some other disease that affected many in the state....but can't find death info or anything on Matthew. So looking for any info!
Any leads or suggestions, greatly appreciated!
