Hi, Gary

My wife's great grandmother was Ida Louise Slade (born: date unknown). She married William Henry Beyer (date unknown) and had three children: William (born: date unknown), Violet Lily (born: 1901) and Daisy May (born: 1905).

I have a reference to an Ida Slade in the 1901 census at 19 Caroline Pl Goat Lane in Enfield when she was 18 and living with her family. This make it difficult (but not impossible) to place her as a married mother with a child in 1901. So this may be a red herring.

My wife's mother has other memories of various uncles and aunts living in Cottage Row in Forty Hill but I haven't been able to fathom out, with any degree of certainty, who was related to whom! There's Violet Lily who was born at No3, and lived at No5. Uncle Alf (the policeman), and Uncle John (at No1).

I also understand that William Slade married into my wife's father's side of the family (Mabel Cook).

Any help on the Slade family linking into Ida Louise would be very helpful. You can send stuff to me via email rather than this list if it helps

Thanks in advance
