The Skomrowski line Amelia is from is along the Russian border at WWI Warminsko-Mazurskie province possibly.
the name of the town I do not know, She said the Russian soldiers were very mean to the Jewish people in the town. They had to leave that town and since her Grandfather was a professor, he was able to get a teaching job in Warsaw (or Versovia).
