On the 1850 census for Jackson Co IL, #132 Jeremiah,age 33,born KY, is found living next door to #133 Sarah Skipworth, age 65, b. GA, on the other side of Sarah is #134 James Rich and several other Rich families with household members who were born in KY and TN, and a William Rich,age 62, who was born in NC.
Jeremiah’s wife is shown as Elizabeth, age 26, born TN. Children Timothy, 6, John, 3, and Irain,1, all born IL.
Believe Jeremiah to have been the son of Richard Skipworth born abt 1777 SC,lived in Monroe Co,Cumberland Co and Warren Co KY in the 1820,1830,and 1840 respectively. He died in Jackson Co IL 15 mar 1850.
