William Skinner b, 1704, who were parents??
I see from most Ancestry.com postings that William Skinner, b. 1704 was the son of John Skinner and Jane Smith, but I found someone who thought he was the son of a Nicholas Skinner. Is there any documentation for these folks?I have that this William Skinner, b. 1704 had a son named William Skinner Jr., b. 1725 and William Jr. had a son named Benjamin b. 1749, and Benjamin had a son Edward, b. 1773, and Edward had a son named, Asa, b. 1808 and Asa had a son named Ariss, b. 1827.I'm researching for a friend...and am looking for documentation.I have census information to prove from Ariss down to current generations I'm researching, but see some conflicting information on earlier generations of these Skinners, so if anyone has documentation for any of the above connections, please let me know. Also curious about a John Skinner b. 1633 in either Scotland or Boston, MA, who married Elizabeth ? as their daughter Elizabeth Skinner, seems to be my husband's ancestor.
