J. B. Skinner, son of Samuel Skinner & Susan Skinner is listed in the h/h of Susan Skinner in 1850 & 1860, in Dallas, Co., Al. The Alabama Archives, C. W. Service Cards list him enlisting Jul.6, 1861, Camden, Wilcox Co., Al. Co. A, 13th Al. Inf. Reg., age 21, home Richmond, Al., farmer. A letter dated Oct. 6, 1920, Confederate Soldiers Home of Al., Mountain Creek, Al. gives his name as Jesse Bozeman Skinner, of Washington Co., Al. In 1920, a Jessie B. Skinner, age 72, is listed living in Sunflower, Washington Co., Al. with wife Rebecca Jane. They are also listed in 1910, Carson, Washington Co.,Al., 1900 in McLeods, Clarke Co., Al., 1880 in River Hill, Clarke, Co., Al., & 1870 in Webbs Mill, Clarke Co., Al. Another letter, dated Oct. 20, 1920, Confederate Soldiers Home, states that Jesse B. Skinner, Co. A, 13th Al. Inf. was captured at Gettysburg, Jul.1, 1863 & released from Ft. Delaware, Del. Jun.14, 1865. Can anyone tell me if in fact this is the same J. B. Skinner, son of Samuel & Susan Skinner & if his name was Jesse Bozeman? Thanks, Alex R.
