Sons of Benjamin Franklin Skinner of Darlington, S.C. in War Btwn States..
I am trying to find out information about B. F. Skinner's sons who may have fought in the war. Acoording to Benjamin Franklin's youngest son (Ashby)'s journal, which he wrote in 1884, Benjamin's eldest son (James) died in the war as well, and his next two eldest sons (Nicholas E. and Wilia or Wiley) survived the war. I know Benjamin was in the 21st SC, co. H - died at Elmira, etc. etc.. I also found 2 listings for "James" - one in the 21st H co., one in the 14th A co., who died, but other than that I know very little about what role his sons may have had, if any. Does anyone know whether these sons were enlisted? Thanks!
