I have a Rev. John Skillin arriving in Portland, ME. with unknown spouse. One story has him arriving 0n 8/10/1822 and eventually going on the New York, lived to be 100 years old. His son John, Jr. stayed in Maine, died from a lightening bolt and is buried in Portland, ME. His wife's name was ELinor.

There are a few descendants in Maine. This family is not related to the SKILLIN family of which THOMAS SKILLIN is the immigrant arriving in the US about 1635.
