Hello Elizabeth,

I'm glad my posting was of help to you. My mother had the Skiff/Carter Bible for years and only just recently did I notice the Skiff information on some blank pages between the old and new testaments. (My mother also has a beautiful quilt handed down from Delia which she signed, Delia J. Carter 1834.) Juliette was born almost exactly 2 years before Delia J. Skiff, my Skiff ancestor. Her name is spelled: Juliaett for her birth record and Juliatte for her death record (which is blank - do you have her death date?).

The Bible has all of Juliette's brothers and sisters listed if you're interested. I would be interested in your Buell family history. I recently visited Ravenna, Ohio where my Carter ancestors lived. I found an unpublished reminicense written by one of my ancestor's sons (a brother of my ancestor) describing the family's experiences in moving from Litchfield Co., Conn. to Ohio in 1804. It's fascinating.

Carter Skinner
