Jane Skidmore or IRELAND? m: Daniel WHITEHEAD and John INGERSOLL?

Seven years ago there was discussion about Jane Skidmore not being Daniel Whitehead's second wife. Some people said it was Jane Ireland, daughter of Thomas.

But Thomas Ireland's will in Sept 1668 showed Jane (his second daughter) was not yet 18.

As noted by Joan Best to Melissa Ward in 2003, it seems strange that a not-yet-18 year old girl could have had four children by Daniel Whitehead before he died that year also.

Has anyone come up with a solid answer yet as to who Daniel Whitehead's second wife was and if it was a Skidmore or an Ireland who married John Ingersoll?
