Hello, Vicky. The Shelton Family is a different family from the Skelton Family. Absolom Roseberry and Anne Dykes'
grandchild married Ralph Shelton Carrol in McDonald County, Missouri and they led a wagon train to California being the last group through the Pass before the illfated
Donner Party. There is a plaque at the Pass honoring the Carrol Party. From the descendants I learned that they descended from Ralph Shelton and the Shelton Family was well researched. That is all I can tell you about the Shelton Family but they were outstanding people on our American frontiers.
