It has been ages since I read Mutiny on the Bounty so I need to read it again.
The Christian and Skelton Families in Hawkins county, TN,
intermarried with the Dykes Family, and they were all in
Cumbria centuries before. Very Interesting. The Brandons
were also in Cumbria and they, too, intermarried with the
Dykes Family in Hawkins/Greene Co., TN.
I think I told you that Capt. Edward Christian, Governor of
Isle of Man's daughter, Aymy, born before 1635, married
John Christian, brother of Alice Christian who married
Thomas Skelton. Their sister, Isabel, married Maj. Gen.
Richard Stevenson, who was Deputy Governor of Isle of Man.

The Christian Family were very active on the Western Frontier of Virginia (Old Augusta County) prior to moving
to Tennessee. They were military men against the Shawnee.
