In March, 2002, Ena Knox and Christine Saville exchanged some information on this Skelly family. If you are still active on this forum, I would be very pleased to hear from you as I've recently discovered a link between the Skelly's and my Robson family. I did send an Email off line to Christine, but I didn't hear back & I know how addresses can change in two years.
Starting with Matthew SKELLY, m. 26 May 1668 Margaret FERGUSON at Edlingham, my interest kicks in at the 6th generation. That's when Eleanor SKELLY, born 1821, married in 1856 my great grandfather's brother, Andrew ROBSON, in Alnwick. A George SKELLY, perhaps Eleanor's father, also figures in a Northumberland Assizes case involving my gg.
