I am researching the Skelly family who lived in Derry Township,Westmoreland County, Pa. during the 1830 and 1840 census. In particular for the 1830 census, I need info on Joseph SKELLY( b. abt. 1805) and his relation to a Daniel SKELLY and a John SKELLY ,(b. abt. 1760-1770). Is Joseph the son of this John Skelly?
In the 1840 census of Westmoreland County, there is a Hugh SKELLY and a John SKELLY ( age would fit the one above) Joseph would be about 25 years old and I don't see him listed anywhere. If anyone has any good clues I would appreciate the help. I have researched my SKELLY line for years and finally have this one small break through. I have read about the Cambria County, PA Skellys. I do not know if they are contected to these Westmoreland bunch. Thank you, Deborah Skelley
