Ron,
Your post was a long time ago. My Skellie family is from Washington County, Greenwich, NY...north of Albany.
My great grandfather was Michael Skelly (the spelling of the name was changed after the Civil War.) He married Mary Collins. There are two branches of Skelly's here. Mine exists only in the female lineage, as one of the sons died young and the other didn't have children.
Any connection to this part of the country?
