I am trying to find information on my grandmother's family. My grandmother, Dorothy Margaret Skellinger, was born in 1924, place unknown. Her father was John Skellinger born circa 1870 in NJ and he married Hannah Propert DeMaris. John was the son of Cornelius Skellinger and Louisa Ann McGee.
According to my uncle, Dorothy was from the Cape May Co area, but he isn't sure if she was born there or not. My great grandfather died when my uncle was very young so he knows very little about him.
Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. I have found a lot of info on the Skellinger/Schellenger families in Cape May Co, but nothing that fits into my family yet.
