Hi There!! I came upon your message here and am Trying to find out more info on my Grandfather James Skellenger born 1908 in Fountain City , WI.
His father was either Frank Wesley or John Wesley Skellenger. Frank or John was married to Rose Ella Dodd and James was born in 1908.
Thier Children were: Albert, Mabel, James, Benjamin, Dorothy, Paul and Charlie.
Frank or John Died when James was around 5 and Rose died a few years later. Mabel was married at 16 and took in James for a few years. James evetually left and lived on the streets and rode the Rails. He met my Grand Mother Fern and they had the Following children. Shirley, Darryl, Marvin, Carol and Judy. He adopted my Father Danny and my Uncle Dale. My fathers Bio Father was Oscar Scheurer who was a cousin of James.
Please let me know if any of this makes any sense and if there is a connection.
