(name?) b. 1859 or 1860 d. 3/1862 Isaac b. 4/24/1861 d. (?) Notes: Allen Skellenger was murdered in Stokes State Forest by John Cruver. Susan remarried Harrison Ayers and had five more children (surname Ayers). Susan and Harrison are buried in Layton Cemetery. The burial place of Allen is unknown. The story of Allen's death is in the Snells History of Sussex County. "Hettie" died unmarried and is also buried in Layton Cemetery, Layton, New Jersey. I have a death certificate for a child who was 3 years old and was the son of "Allan Skellinger". this child died of diptheria. Census records for 1860 show a son "Jason T. Skellenger" who was 4 months old at the time. I also have a son Isaac, but I am not sure where I got that information. I have been told that "Isaac Skellenger", if that is his name, moved to Port Jervis, NY. Will have to check the 1870 census records for sandyston. Now about the other Skellenger children: _____------_______--------_______-------____ George Skellenger born: died: married: Emma Kays born: died: children: Harrison married Lula Kent Anna Laura married George Kent Floyd Susan E. married Judson DeGroat James married Hertha Risse Emma married Levi Clark George Lewis David married Bertha Norman William married Alice Medaugh "Dillie" ___________-------________----------_______ If anyone has any information to share about the above, please post! thanks!
