I just went to your website and have spent hours on it and others at gencircles. It was so much fun. I am so impressed with your work and loved the poem on page one.
George H. Hay's wife evidently went by Pallie not Susan. I have a list of Hay burials in Mt. Olive and Pleasant Grove plus not so good photos of tombstones. George and Pallie's old stones have been replaced recently. I'll have to check but am nearly sure George and Pallie are together in Mt. Olive. Roscoe and Viow Skeeters are in Pleasant Grove.

I noted the confusion regarding Valentine. Type in Valentine Hay on the gencircles site and look at Hart list for Valentine that comes up. It is correct to the extent census takers were correct. The list replicates the 1850 census recording in Breckinridge Co for Valentine and Sarah Ezell. You will see William H as their child there at age 10, but by 1860 he is gone and apparently married to Mary E. Walker. I cannot find them in 1860 but by 1870 he is in Hardin Co, his wife Mary E. is dead and he has a new wife and family. He lived and died in Hardin Co and was a charter member of Mt. Olive Cumberland Presbyterian church.
Thus, he and many of his children are buried there.

Valentine can also be found in the Breckinridge County for 1860, 1870, and 1880. The middle initials for his children Samuel and John vary, sometimes being M and other times W.
I have a yet unproven lead that Valentine died in Grayson Co in 1898. Sarah Ezell Hay was still living in 1900 and is with daughter Emily Hay Brathcer, wife of George on Grayson Co census. I don't know who the John S. and Sarah are but will work on it, as I'm trying to reconstruct all Hay families in the area.

I am absolutely positive William H. Hay was the father of George H., Roscoe, Clyde W(alker) m. Frances Powell, James Valentine called Tyne m. Lark Burks, Fount (my grandfather), Mellie m. Kendrick Dupin, Sudie m. Singleton Sadler, Dicie or Dissie m. George Keesee and William Ovie called Ovie m. Ella Lampton.

Family reunion notes supplied by Beulah Hay Smallwood in the 1980s list the descendants of William H Hay and Susanah Francis Hay with the same names Roscoe, Clyde, etc. of parents. We also have a family group photo of William H. and Frankie and these daughters and sons and grandchildren. There are a number of living Hay members in Louisville and Hardin Co who can verify this line and update the death info for some of the Hay family members listed on your site

William H.'s death certificate lists Valentine as his father. Furthermore my father Pirtle Hay told me his great-grandfather was named Valentine. I hope this info will help you make corrections to your wonderful work and will provide clues for others wanting to work on these lines.
