SKARKA FAMILY, USA VIA CZECH.

I am researching my surname. It has been quite difficult to date. I have contacted many Skarkas in the US, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and actually one in France. But have not found the thread that connects us all. Part of my research shows that at some point in history, the name was also spelled SKARKE. I have located a large number of Skarkes in Texas. In any case, my line goes through my father, MARTIN DANIEL SKARKA, b. 2/25/24, Gutenburg, NJ to FRANK JOSEPH SKARKA, b. 7/07/01 or 00, and HARRIETT (DEXHEIMER) SKARKA, b. 1904. Frank was born in NYC (I think) to FRANZ JOSEF SKARKA, b. 1875, in "Bohemia"...I believe in the town of Caslav. He immigrated to US in 1885 at the age of 10. In 1896 he married FRANCES LEBINA, b. 1877 in "Bohemia". She immigrated to US in 1892. In the 1900 Census, "Frank" and "Fanny" were found living at 1360 Ave. A, NYC. At the time, they had two children, ANTON, b. 1898, and EMILIE, b. 1899. My Grandfather, Frank, was born in either 1900 or 1901 and at least one more brother, OTTO, was born about 1905. My father had five brothers and one sister, FRANK, WILLIAM, HARRY, ROY, KENNETH and HOPE. This is all the information I have to date. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
