Son of Augustus Sjovall and his wife Margaret, Peter (as he was
called) was born in 1831 in Sweden. At 18 he set sail for America
and traveled around the Horn, arriving for the Gold Rush. He
married Mary Ann Finn in the late 1860's. Two daughters: Vincenzia
Mary b. 1869 and Louise, b. 1872; both in Silver Springs, Idaho.
Shortly thereafter they moved to California.Peter settled in
Grass Valley. He died in San Francisco in 1909.
