The Sizer Marriage "William and Prudence" is intriging to me.
I hope you are still out there....
As most of the Plum(b)family accounts have it. Prudence married Dudley Piper in 1791 Middleton ,Ct.
Dudley Piper, who enlisted in the Ct. Militia April of 1790, was written off as dead in the Battle of "St. Clairs Defeat" Nov. 1791.
Now, facts are Dudley Piper did not die and was promoted to Sgt. Scout for Gen. Wilkerson and continued his enlistment til 1796. Well beyond the marriage of Wm. Sizer and prudence.
Dudley never returned to Ct. but to Virginia in 1800 and began a family...
Sounds like a real story to tell there??
Can you shed any light to Wm. Sizers military history.
Thanks,Steven piper
