Children of William Sizer b. 1775 d. abt 1840 of "Greenmount" plantation in Beulaville, King William Co. VA with his wife Mary E. "Polly" Abraham are:
George; John b. Oct 17, 1802 d. Dec 27, 1860 m. Hannah Robinson; Augustus; Henry; William m. Elizabeth Pilcher; Frances m. (1) Graham, (2) Richardson (3) Clark; James m. Catherine Yerby; Nancy; Susan m. John Exall; Eleanor m. William Crutchfield; Mordecai b. Dec 23, 1810 m. Ann Eliza Dabney.
The information above is from undated notes from Dr. Zander Sizer b. 1870 of Schuyler VA on D.J. Carroll Hosp. Stationary, and a letter from Lillian Hubbard Holch of Brooklyn NY,to Ellie Fauntleroy (Mrs George Vose) of Richmond dated Jan 30, 1935.Zander is a grandson of Mordecai Sizer b. 1810.
John b. 1802 had a son name Augustus "Gus" b. 1834 m. Betsy Ryland, not to be confused Augustus the son of William.Find-A-Grave has info on John b. 1802.
Greenmount was sold to W.T. Eubank in 1840 from the estate of William Sizer.I do not have a death date. King William is a "burned county" -i.e. yankees burned the courthouse, so there is a lack of court records on this family such as Wills and deeds.
A posting by Ann Wrenn of Durham NC. gives that William Sizer served in the Virginia Militia in the War of 1812.
The USPS list of postmasters in 1830 includes William Sizer for the Greenmount P.O.
The only info I have on Eleanor Sizer is the name of her husband William Crutchfield.
