My 3G grandfather John Sitz, was born in 1805. He moved his family to DeKalb County, Alabama (Etowah County) on Lookout Mountain near Gadsden, Alabama from Warren County, Tennessee. He married Celia Dykes and they had 11 children. Two of whom were my 2G grandfather, William Russel Sitz born in 1833 and his brother John Hampton Sitz born in 1841 who married Celia Ross.
