I have copy of Greene Co. TN marriage bond James Massingill to Sarah Sitton on Dec 28 1813. This bond was posted by James Massingill and Samuel Sitton. James made his mark and Samuel signed his name. Samuel Sitton was son of William Sitton b.1742 and Susannah (last name unknown). Susannah Hennessey married a William Sutton in SC? I have seen this mixup posted elsewere. A quick search for Susannah Hennessey shows wrong age and wrong area and no connection to Greene Co. Sittons.
After seeing marriage bond and Samuel's signature, I believe Sarah is probably a daughter of William Sitton and sister of Samuel. Same signature is on a Rachel Sitton who married a Maddox and moved to Cocke Co. William b.1742 left no records of who his children were. Too bad. I have no info on James Massengill.
